| My Art Policy -You do not have permission to use any of my artwork in any way, shape or form without my written explicit consent. This includes all art intended for use by one specific person. (Eg. gifts, trades, comissions, requests, etc.) Those visiting an artwork of mine without having payed for it are only entitled to viewing it via my own deviantart page, any other use will have action taken against it. -Comissioners have extended use options, though only with the work they have payed for. I will not stand for any resale, distributing etc of my work, especialy not whilest claiming it as your own work. Comissioners are able to negotiate terms of usage at the time of comissioning before payment. I will be quite lenient depending on your request. -In addition to the above, if an artwork depicts your characters (ie; your intelectual property) or is intended as a gift/trade for you, you may also feel free to negotiate terms of usage of that specific peice of work. -Any resources that i may post for the use of the general public are still mine, no matter how extensibly you edit them. Do not upload to any site other than DeviantArt. Do not edit and claim as your own. I will never upload stock photography to this account. Please post your new artwork to deviantart with a link to the original/my page. You do not have permission to resell any work that includes my work for real/simulated money. Please Note Me If You Have Any Questions. box thanks to =DEVlANT FAQ When will your comissions be open!?!? - How do you draw so well? ugh, i get this all the time from my friends. it annoys me. (you wouldn't think so, but yes. im not a lover of swooning art lovers gaping at me.) FACT: i draw every day. It's almost all i do. FACT: it has been proven that if you practice, you will get better. If you truly love art, then practicing is just having fun. FACT: I started drawing horses because not only is that what i saw my mum do a lot, but i was around them a lot when i was younger. I still am now, though not so much. *sad face*. I started really getting into art about last year when i discovered this joint! (Hey lovers!!) So being an equine artist is natural for me. I pretty much drew crapish horses up until year 7 when i started carring, because in highschool people can acctualy draw well as opposed to primary school when you draw a buble-man and everyones all "OMG! wooaaah!" FACT: i look at the world a lot. i can be quite vacant in conversations because im buisy studying the world around me. I make a mental note of cloud shapes, of how trees grow, of colours and textures etc. If there is something i really like the look of, i just stare at it until im pretty sure i know what it looks like. FACT: referencing is the best way to start learning anatomy if you can't phyisically go out and look at the real thing or ask a professional. There are so many great stock photos on DA, so use them! If your stuck on a pose, look up a picture and reference every shape you see. Look for angles, sizes, proportions etc. Soon enough you'll know what something looks like of by heart. Remember, reality is always right. If you copy another artist, you copy their mistakes. Can you please critique this for me? Sure! Why do you only draw digital horses? I don't. i just happens to be what i mainly upload. Recently, im a lover of weird looking fish. (they are all over my English poetry book and my art book). I've also grown to love drawing in byro pen, and using Fabercastel pencils on the cardboard backs of notebooks. Why are your images so light/dark? Screens can be stupid. everyone has their set at a different level, and lately ive noticed that the reason why it looks like people have been drawing black horses with no shade is because my screen brightness is lower than theirs. I work with my screen on 95% contrast, and 50% brightness, so thats what i recomend you switch to for optimum viewing of my works. however, many artists seem to work with a lot brighter screens. I just make a quick change to my screen everytime i think im not seeing an image properly, and swtich straight back to my normal work settings after. |
| You have entered the world of one such 'Deanna', whose alias's include D, D-Dawg, and Carrot Head. She has a stringent hate of cliches, except when used in her fully-sick-of-the-hook style of humor. She has recently decided she would like to rule the world, and has decided to lower our imprint on the earth by purging it of idiots and bogans. (individuals to be advised on their status, depending on common sense and over-all awesomeness.) D, her prefered alias, enjoys digital painting. especialy when it turns out good. She likes odd angles, strange situations and balloons. Her process is as follows; the BG for her art is often done in Coral Painter essentials 5, whilest her main subject and a few minor alterations to the bg are done in Photoshop CS4. She uses a Bamboo fun small sized tablet which often dies on her due to a personality disorder that it is currently seeking theorapy for. D is also begining to break away from lineart, as she finds it difficult to stick to and would much rather paint over it, using it as a basic guideline for her shapes. D would also like to say that her birthday is the 30th of September, her favorite number is 3, she doesnt mind giftart or art trades sometimes, and not to expect a final version of her charactors until shes about 40 because she can never keep her mind on the one design. :] D enjoys the following emotes; Comission Price references (for when i mock up prices); [link] [link] |

Ahem.
PS: YOU'RE RIDICULOUS.
Seriously. You are. I really consider it a great, fantastic honor that you've watched me. Because I really adore your artwork, and when anyone whose artwork i admire/adore/love on watches me, I feel automatically deeply grateful. It's not that I don't appreciate other watchers, because I do, very, very much, but there is a special kind of mirthful joy reserved just for when someone whose work you enjoy so much in turn takes the time to look at your own stuff.
SO, IN CONCLUSION.
Thank you so fucking much.

"So it goes."
